Booking request Once you have decided what you want then you can send a request via a booking form and the owner will receive your request via e-mail or you can call directly to the owner to make further arrangement. For each object there is a calendar conected that the owner updates, so please have a look in the calendar for the time in question that interests you to see if the object is available.
Agreement When you and the landlord/owner have made an agreement for you to lease the holiday home for a defined time period we at Nordic Rent recommends both party to sign a booking contract. The booking contract should in detail specify the terms and condition applying to the object during the rental period. Responsibility for the conclusion of a lease / deal rests entirely between landlord and tenant. Accuracy / validity of the information presented on Nordic Rent for a particular rental property / holiday accommodation rests fully on the responsible advertiser.
Cancelation We recommend that you as a tenant investigate what your insurance policy declares regarding a cancelation. It might be recommended to sign an additional travel insurance to cover any cancelation fees.
What to consider when you rent privately
Examine that the person (owner) really exists
Ask for references and names of previous tenants. If you have the opportunity, go and visit the object before the contracts are written.
Ask if the landlord does not have additional photos of the object which he / she can send via e-mail to you.
Investigate what other objects located in the same area cost to rent for the same period - seems the price to be reasonable?
NOTE! Always set up a written agreement where: Price, Cancellation and responsibilities are specified.
At arrival make an inspection to investigate if there is something in the holiday home that does not work or respond to what was presented in the ad, if so ensure that they (landlord/owner) enter any issue in the booking contract/agreement and hear about a possible price cut.
